Your guide and driver will meet you just outside the cruise terminal to pick you up in a wheelchair accessible van, and you’ll drive to some of Malta’s best accessible sites, enjoying the views along the way!

Mdina, which is also called the “Silent City,” is the former capital of Malta, and is surrounded by ancient city walls. As you stroll/roll down the pedestrian streets, you’ll seehow the city earned its nickname– no cars are allowed inside the city walls and there are less than 300 inhabitants!

The Tarxien Temples are an ancient ritual site (dating back to approximately 3150 BC!) just outside the city of Valletta. Your guide will tell you about the history of the area and the various artifacts found here as you marvel at the well-preserved megalithic remains of a mysterious civilization that existed more than 5000 years ago! Before returning to Valletta, you’ll stop for lunch (price not included) in an accessible restaurant Marsaxlokk—a traditional fishing village in southeastern Malta. Back in Valletta, you will also visit some of the best accessible sites in the capital of Malta. The 16th century Baroque St. John’s Co-Cathedral as well as the Grandmaster’s Palace are not to be missed! Note: Tours are available 7 days a week; however, please note that St. John’s Co-Cathedral is not open on Sundays or public holidays, the Grandmaster’s Palace is closed during official events (this does not happen often) and the Tarxien Temples are closed on December 24th, 25th, 31st, January 1st, and Good Friday.

It did not receive a higher rating because you will encounter mild to moderate cobblestones along the way and your guide is unable to push a wheelchair. Please note that you can hire an assistant to push your wheelchair for €20/hour, at a minimum of 3 hours.
