Essential Split Accessible Cruise Excursion
Visit two UNESCO World Heritage cities in one day on this 4 hour accessible Split cruise excursion! Explore the incredible old town of Split and visit the fascinating city of Trogir, settled by Greek colonists around the 3rd century BC. This tour includes wheelchair accessible transportation and step-free walking/rolling routes.
Your guide and driver will meet you at the cruise terminal in Split to begin your accessible driving tour. You’ll not only get to visit Diocletian’s Palace in Split, but you’ll also see the neighboring town of Trogir.
The city of Trogir is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and was settled by Greek colonists around the 3rd century BC. Here, you’ll walk/roll along the streets of this ancient city as your guide points out the beautiful and diverse Romanesque, Renaissance, and Baroque architecture. You’ll also see the formidable Kamerlengo Castle, a massive fortress that was built in the 15th century by the Republic of Venice.
Enjoy the scenic views on your accessible Split cruise excursion while driving between Split and Trogir as your driver and guide point out Roman ruins and historical sites along the way.
In Split, your guide will take you along the step-free route through the ruins of Diocletian’s Palace, which was completed in the year 305 AD for the Roman Emperor. The ruins are in the heart of the Old Town of Split, and comprise the best Roman Ruins on the eastern side of the Adriatic. Not only will you get to walk/roll along the ancient pathways through the columns and arches that make up the above ground section of the ruins, but you’ll also get to go underground to the cellars beneath the palace.
