Accessibility Details
I gave this villa a 3 Star Sage Accessibility Rating because the hotel suite has nearly-flat entrance to the building, wide doors, and a roll-in shower. It did not get a higher rating because there is a small lip at the entrance, the door to the toilet is only 24 inches wide, there is a single step to enter the winery, and the pathways to get around town are covered in gravel.
This Accessible Tuscany Winery & Villa was founded in the 8th century contains several buildings including a church & schoolhouse shown on the right. Wheelchair users will appreciate that the village doesn’t have hills.

There is a gravel path to reach back entrance of wine tasting room.
Two steps at front entrance of wine tasting building are shown on the left. At the rear entrance, there is a single step into the wine tasting room. We can request a portable ramp if you wish.
Numerous types of wine from vineyards all over the region can be tasted and purchased here. You can visit the wine tasting room every day of your trip and it won’t get old!
In a separate building at the accessible Tuscany winery, there is a lobby bar and lounge.
The Accessible Tuscany Winery & Villa has a pool with smooth pavement surrounding it.
There is a restaurant near the lobby bar and a second restaurant (shown below) that has accessible outdoor seating.
A flat entrance into the dining room at this accessible Tuscany winery leads to a seating area with plenty of space for wheelchair users to roll between tables.
Steps lead up to the bathroom, but they have a wheelchair transporter (shown below) that can be used. A simpler solution is to use the bathroom in the lobby or your hotel room.
To enter the accessible suite, there are two small lips at the entrance…on to get onto the sidewalk and one to enter the building.
The spacious living room is shown below.
The bedroom in this restored building has enough space for a wheelchair user to fit on either side of the bed.
When you walk/roll into the bathroom, on your left is roll-in shower and a bathtub.
On your right is a 24 inch wide door leading to a toilet and a bidet. (Note: Like most wheelchairs, my wheelchair is wider than 24 inches. In this case I would bring in a portable chair, transfer from my wheelchair to it, then transfer onto the toilet).
