Accessible Tuscany Guided Tour of Montepulciano and Pienza
The Accessible Tuscany Guided Tour of Montepulciano and Pienza gives you a little taste of every aspect of Tuscany…a medieval hill town, Renaissance architecture, Italian history, Tuscan landscapes, and wine tasting. What a great way to spend 3 hours of your vacation!
During this accessible Tuscany tour, you will visit two of the most impressive and accessible towns in southern Tuscany, Montepulciano and Pienza.
Montepulciano is typical of the many medieval and Renaissance hill towns that dot the Tuscan country-side. In addition to visit the town center and two churches, you will also have an accessible wine tasting opportunity here.
Pienza is an entirely different town where the city centre was built in a short period of time by Pope Pius II in the 15th century. It is so significant in human history that the entire town has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage site.
The route for the Accessible Tuscany Guided Tour of Montepulciano and Pienza has been designed for disabled participants. It is fairly flat (apart from the one hill described below), and has short walking/rolling distances.
