As you make your way around the popular part of the city called Slotsholmen, your private guide will share fascinating anecdotes and facts about several of the oldest most important buildings throughout Danish history, including Holmens Kirke (Church of Holmen), where the current Queen Margrethe II and her husband Prince Henrik married in 1967 and Børsen, the oldest stock exchange in Denmark built in 1619.

Accessibility Description
This Copenhagen Accessible Guided Tour has a 3 Star Sage Accessibility Rating because your your guide will escort you through the city using wheelchair friendly routes. It did not receive a higher rating because you will encounter some cobblestones and the route is approximately 1.5 kilometers long.
During the History of Copenhagen Accessible Guided Tour you will see sights such as Amalienborg, the Royal Palace (shown on the left). You will also have the opportunity to visit Christiansborg Palace (shown on the right), which has housed the Danish reigning powers for more than 600 years!
Most Danes walk or use bikes to get around so you’ll experience sidewalks in most areas. You may experience some cobblestones (as soon on the pictures), however, many places have a wheelchair friendly path that can be used to avoid them.
The area surrounding the residency of the Queen, Amalienborg Castle, is mostly flat, however, you will encounter some cobblestones.
Throughout your walking/strolling tour downtown Copenhagen, your guide will lead you using wheelchair friendly, step-free routes. While much of the older city has cobblestones, there are flat wheelchair tracks in many places.
To help shorten the tour routes, we will use the accessible metro. There is a wide door elevator down to enter the ground level and the metro itself if fully accessible.
