Accessible Guided Rome Food Tour
This 3-hour Accessible Guided Rome Food Tour is a fun way to experience authentic Italian food – the way the locals do! The tour takes place around the centrally located Campo dei Flori and Piazza Navona. Escorted by your local Italian food expert guide, you will enjoy tastings of Italian Pizza, salami, cured meats, cheeses, and of course Italian coffee and gelato!
Your accessible tour starts out by meeting your local food expert guide by Campo dei Flori. From here, you will head out on a 3-hour experience you won’t soon forget. Come hungry! As you visit small local food venues, you will learn about the Italian food culture and enjoy delicious tastings along the way. You will make a total of 4 separate food stops… Start out with Pizza! Enjoy delicious, authentic Romana pizza, freshly made by a popular Italian bakery. Next, continue to the Salumeria where you will enter a private room for tasting of their famous Italian salami, cured meats and delicious cheeses. Following this, it’s time for dessert! Your guide will introduce you to one of the very best gelato places in Rome and you will of course get to indulge in some as well. Your last stop of the tour will be at the cafeteria where you will get to sit down outside and enjoy a relaxing cup of Italian coffee.

Accessibility Description:
I gave the Accessible Guided Rome Food Tour a 4 Star Sage Accessibility Rating because it is mostly flat and smooth, with some areas of mild to moderate cobblestones. It did not get a 5-star rating because some of the entrances have a small 1 cm lip to enter. This should not pose any issues to wheelchair users. The tour has been designed to include accessible restrooms along the way.
The entrance to the Pizza and bread venue has a small 1 cm lip but the doorway is wide. The interior is flat and smooth.
The entrance to the meat venue also has a very small lip to enter. The interior is completely flat and smooth. The inside is fascinating with meats and salamis hanging from the ceiling.
The Gelato venue has a smooth display area with sufficient turning space. There is a small 1 cm lip to enter via the wide main doors.
The traditional cafeteria in Italy has tall counter tables. Italians usually stand to drink their coffee. However, you will be able to sit and enjoy your delicious coffee outside.
