This Alicante Wheelchair Accessible Walking Tour received an accessibility rating of three stars, out of five because the walking/rolling portions of the tour avoids steps and stairs. Additionally, your tour guide is experienced in touring with disabled guests and their family and accessible restrooms are present along the route. It did not receive a higher rating because it does involve approximately 2 miles of walking/rolling.
During your visit to St. Barbara’s Castle your tour guide will lead you using wheelchair accessible routes.
A long ramp leads to the elevator below the caste and ramps have been installed throughout the site to help wheelchair users navigate the site.
In the Old Town, the route used is mostly flat and smooth. You will experience very few mild cobblestoned areas that shouldn’t pose any major issues. Accessible restroom stops are also present along the route.
Both the entrance to Co-Cathedral and Town Hall have accessible options that are ramped for easy access.
