The St. Thomas Wheelchair Accessible Beach Excursion is the perfect excursion for people with limited mobility that wish to spend a day in the warm Caribbean sun. You will have access to a beach wheelchair and the possibility of renting snorkeling equipment. The coral reef and sea life are located within swimming distance of the uncrowded beach and the clear and calm Caribbean water that highlights every shade of blue is sure to mesmerize you!

On the way to the beach, you will enjoy a brief tour through town and stop at a lookout point to see your cruise ship.

The St. Thomas Wheelchair Accessible Beach Excursion includes:

  • Visit to a wheelchair accessible beach. Beach wheelchairs are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Snorkeling equipment can be reserved for you at $16.00 per set (mask, snorkel, fins)

Accessibility Details

The St. Thomas Wheelchair Accessible Beach Excursion has received a 3-star accessibility rating. The route has been customized to make sure it is entirely step-free with access to the most accessible beach in St. Thomas. An accessible van equipped with a ramp will be used between the different venues. Accessible restrooms are also located along the route. It did not receive a higher rating because wheelchair users who wish to use the special beach wheelchair will need to be able to transfer into it.

The accessible van in St. Thomas is equipped with a ramp for easy access.

Magens Bay Beach offers paths into the sand that makes it easier for wheelchair users to navigate. A special beach wheelchair is also available on first-come-first-serve basis.

Accessible restrooms are available by the beach with extra wide doors and grab bars.

Duration: 3 hours
Cost: $425 for 1-2 people, $475 for 3-4 people, $525 for 5 people. Beach wheelchair is available on a “first-come, first-served” basis
