On this Wheelchair Friendly Key West Glass Boat Experience, you will have a unique chance to explore the beautiful underwater vistas generally reserved for scuba divers. Onboard a glass bottom boat, you will be able to admire a wide variety of fish, other sea creatures and North America’s only living coral reef! Please note that the glass bottom boats have a single step at both ends of the boarding ramp and wheelchair users must be able to navigate these to join this tour. Also, motorized equipment is not permitted onboard the boat.
This 2-hour Key West Glass boat tour begins at the dock where you will use a ramp to board the glass boat. There is a small step on each end that you must be able to navigate to enter. The staff can help you as needed. Once onboard, you can sit back and relax while looking out the windows and admiring the beautiful water. You can also look down and see through the window to the sea. If you’re looking, you will be able to observe sea turtles, rays and fish of all kinds gliding through the crystal waters of Key West. Along this eco-tour, the experienced captain and crew will provide fascinating narration and point out some of the most interesting marine life that inhabit the waters of this beautiful island. Please note that to see the glass bottom, you will need to be able to take a step and stand by a rail. This may not be suitable for full-time mobility equipment users.

The Wheelchair Friendly Key West Glass Boat Experience has received a 2 Star Sage Accessibility Rating because manual wheelchair users who can manage a few steps are able to enjoy this unique experience. It does not involve any long walking/rolling distances. It did not receive a higher rating because motorized mobility equipment is not allowed onboard the glass boat and because it is not an entirely step-free experience.
The Gangway to the glass board is a ramped wooden path. To enter the boat, guests must be able to navigate a step onto a ramp and off a ramp.
Guests with wheelchairs will need to stay on the first level to avoid steps onto the higher levels.
The paths onboard are narrow.

Cost: USD 55.95 per adult and USD 42.95 per child.
Days of the week the tour is offered: 12 PM, 2 PM and 5 PM (checking 30 min prior to departure).
