Other Rome accessible apartment accommodation options are available closer to the historical sites and work especially well for families.

This hotel has a 4 Star Sage Accessibility Rating because it has a roll-in shower, a bathroom door wide enough for a wheelchair, and a step-free building entrance. It didn’t receive a 5 star rating because there are no grab bars next to the seat in the roll-in shower and the ramp into the breakfast room is steep.

This hotel room has room on both sides of the bed for a wheelchair to fit. The bed consists of two single beds that can be separated or pushed together by the hotel staff.

When you enter the bathroom in the disabled room, there will be a bidet on your immediate left, then a roll-in shower with a seat attached to the wall, then the toilet, then the bathtub. On the right side of the bathroom is a sink that has enough space for a wheelchair user’s knees to fit underneath. The seat in the roll-in shower does not have grab bars on either side. It does have a handheld shower nozzle. The bathtub has grab bars and a handheld shower nozzle.

The hotel is located in a flat neighborhood 500 meters away from the Rome Termini Train Station. The neighborhood has paved streets without cobblestones shown  in the picture on the left. The entrance to the building is flat and has push/pull doors. The entrance is wide enough for a wheelchair.

A picture of the hotel lobby is below.

The picture on the left shows the ramp into the breakfast room. The ramp is steeper than a normal ramp but a staff member can assist you up it. Alternatively, you can ask to have breakfast in your room. The picture on the right shows the breakfast room which has plenty of room for a wheelchair to navigate between the tables.

The elevator up to the disabled rooms is wide enough for a wheelchair.
