Exclusive Handicapped Cruise Excursions in Venice Italy - May 2012 Newsletter
First off, thanks for subscribing to my newsletter! I hope that the monthly newsletter brings you useful information and encourages you that traveling in Europe with a disability is entirely doable!
I follow various discussion boards fairly closely and it always bothers me to see incorrect information passed around as fact. One misconception that I see all the time is that Venice can’t be visited in a wheelchair. It’s simply not true!
I thought long and hard about the question “How can someone with a disability see as much as Venice as possible in a short period of time?” Most people only visit Venice through a shore excursion or stay a couple of nights before getting onto a cruise ship. Hardly enough time to experience all of this magnificent city!
I’m very excited to feature in this month’s newsletter some new services that Sage Traveling provides. Just last week, I created 6 fully accessible cruise excursions for Venice. These cruise excursions visit various parts of the city and provide something for first-time disabled visitors as well as people who have seen Venice numerous times before. Here are 3 of my favorite excursions:
Venetian Empire Accessible Excursion – St. Mark’s Piazza, Doge’s Palace, and St. Mark’s Basilica with a tour guide. Like all of our excursions, this uses a wheelchair accessible water taxi and you won’t have to stop at numerous vaparetto docks or fight the crowds!
Majestic Venice Accessible Excursion – St. Mark’s neighborhood plus a guided tour on the Grand Canal!
Taste of Venice Accessible Excursion – Experience the daily life of Venetians with a visit to the fruit market and fish market before heading to St. Mark’s neighborhood.
I also just added 3 accessible guided tours in Venice to the website.
To celebrate the launch of these cruise excursions and tours, I’m offering 50 euro off our Venice excursions and tours for our newsletter subscribers who make a reservation this month! You can take the cruise excursion at any point this year, but contact us before May 31st and mention you’re a newsletter subscriber to get 50 euro off!
We are eager to provide you a fabulous and memorable experience in Venice!

John Sage, Founder and President of Sage Traveling
