This hotel is one of our top recommendations for wheelchair accessible hotels in Rome. It has 4 spacious accessible rooms including a sitting area and a wheelchair accessible bathroom with a roll-in shower. The neighborhood is the most wheelchair friendly in central Rome with flat, smooth, wide sidewalks. The neighborhood is only 100 years old and has a very Parisian feel too it. This neighborhood is also great for shopping with numerous wheelchair accessible shops found on nearby streets.
The Vatican is only 0.9 miles (1.4 km) away from this Vatican disabled access hotel. The meeting spot for the disabled Vatican guided tour is 1 km away from the hotel. The accessible shopping on Via Cola di Rienzo is only 2 blocks away. The hotel provides 4 star hotel services and has 2 restaurants.

This Vatican disabled hotel receives a 4 Star Sage Accessibility rating from us because it has a step-free entrance, a roll-in shower with grab bars, and grab bars next to the toilet. The only reason it doesn’t receive a 5 star accessibility rating is because there is a small slope to get into the roll-in shower and you can’t position a wheelchair to the side of the chair attached to the wall.
This disabled hotel room has space for a wheelchair on both sides of the bed. The large bed can be separated into two smaller beds.
The disabled hotel room has a couch, chair, and desk in the living room.
The roll-in shower has a chair attached the wall and a very small ramp to get into it. There is a grab bar on the wall inside the roll-in shower. The sink has enough room for a wheelchair user’s knees to fit underneath. The toilet has armrests on both sides of it that you can push off of.
The main entrance is flat with a revolving door. A push/pull door is located to the right of the revolving door.
The picture on the left is of the hotel bar. The picture on the right is of John Sage inside the elevator that goes up to the handicapped hotel room.
The breakfast room has plenty of space for wheelchair or scooter users to fit between the tables. A disabled toilet is located in the lobby.
The neighborhood around this hotel has wide, flat, smooth sidewalks shown in the pictures below. An inexpensive lunch spot that is popular with locals named Franchi is nearby the hotel.
