Disabled Hotel in Rome
This accessible hotel is located in the center of Rome and is only 800 meters (0.5 miles) down the flat Via del Teatro Marcello street from the Piazza Venezia and Victor Emanuel Monument. From there, the Pantheon, the Roman Forum, the Capitoline Museums, and Trajan’s Market are all within 800 meters.
The nearby Piazza Venezia is also the meeting place for one of our wheelchair accessible Rome walking tours. The guided tour provides you with a great overview of the history and magnificence of Rome. It is suitable for wheelchair or mobility scooter users.
The location of this disabled hotel in Rome makes getting around Rome with a disability easy. Several of the wheelchair accessible public bus routes stop in Piazza Venezia and can take you to the train station, the Vatican, and the Colosseum. The accessible bus tour is another great way to get around town, and one of the bus tour stops is located next to the Victor Emanuel Monument.
The rooftop bar and restaurant at this hotel looks out over the city and provides one of the best views of any of the Rome disabled hotels. The accessible rooms have grab bars in the roll-in showers and next to the toilets.

Although this accessible hotel has roll-in showers and grab bars, I gave the hotel a 3 star accessibility rating because of the awkward ramp at the accessible entrance. Some manual wheelchair users may need assistance getting into the building.
The accessible room at this hotel has smooth wood floors and plenty of space for wheelchairs to fit on both sides of the bed.
The disabled bathroom has a roll-in shower with a grab bar located on the left side of a chair attached to the wall. The toilet has grab bars on both sides of the toilet.
The sink has enough space for wheelchair users to roll their knees underneath and is shown in the photo on the left. The disabled room also has a second bathroom which is smaller and has a shower you have to step into. A photograph of the second bathroom is shown on the right.
The main entrance to this hotel has 6 steps to enter it. An accessible side entrance is located about 30 meters away. The picture on the right shows the small uphill driveway leading to the accessible entrance. Someone will have to go up the 6 steps to notify the hotel staff to open the side entrance.
The accessible entrance has a somewhat awkward ramp that goes up then immediately down into the building.
The elevator up to the hotel rooms is wide enough for a wheelchair.
The interior courtyard is shown in the pictures below.
An elevator leads you to a rooftop bar which overlooks the city.
The hotel is located on a street with a paved sidewalk and cobblestones on the street.
