Wheelchair accessible rooms in Paris Left Bank
Wheelchair Accessible Rooms in Paris Left Bank – This hotel has two wheelchair accessible rooms in Paris Left Bank. Both of these rooms have roll-in showers with a grab bar. We were told that a small portable chair can be placed in the roll-in shower. The toilet has a grab bar on the wall.
The hotel has a slight ramp at the entrance (4 star flatness) and a motion activated door. It is 2 blocks (100 meters) from the Luxembourg Gardens and 2 blocks (100 m) from the Pantheón. One block away, down a street with 4 star flatness, is the Boulevard Saint-Michele with several options for shopping. Notre Dame is 1 km away. 500 m from the hotel, you will find a street in the Latin Quarter called the Rue de la Harpe with numerous outdoor cafés where you will not have to go up any steps to have a great, affordable meal. Accessible bus line number 27 has a stop 3 blocks away and will drop you off directly in front of the Pyramid entrance to the Louvre Museum.
The hotel has a beautiful breakfast room located 1 floor below ground level. There is a short ramp with 3 star flatness to get into the breakfast room. This small hotel has 47 rooms and a 4 star hotel classification.
Although this Left Bank hotel has wheelchair accessible rooms, I gave it a 4 Star Sage Accessibility rating instead of a 5 star rating because of the 3 star flatness ramp into the breakfast room and the slight slope on the street outside (4 star flatness). In spite of these slopes, most disabled travelers will find this hotel very wheelchair accessible.
