I gave the Accessible Bologna Day Trip from Florence a 4 Star Sage Accessibility Rating because it is mostly flat and smooth, with some areas of mild to moderate cobblestones.It did not get a 5 star rating because the total length of rolling/walking on this tour is approximately 2 km (1.6 miles). The tour has been designed to include accessible restrooms along the way.

- Bologna city center to Bologna train station
- Florence train station to your accessible Florence hotel.

This tour follows a flat route with almost no slopes to it. The surface of the route includes some smooth sidewalks, some mild cobblestones, and in a few places some moderate cobblestones. Example photos of the tour route are shown below.
The area outside the Basilica of San Petronio is flat and easy to navigate. A special ramp is located o the right side of the church to avoid the stairs at the front (see photo on the right below).
The interior is flat and smooth throughout, and exceptionally beautiful!
