Conveniently located on the road that connects the villages of Montalcino, Montepulciano, and Pienza, this 1000 year old farm is home to an accessible Tuscany villa with a roll-in shower.
A cypress-lined driveway (shown on the left) leads to the property which overlooks Tuscan farms and wineries. A step-free path leads down to the pool with views of the valleys on the back-side of the property.
Montalcino, Montepulciano, and Pienza are all within a 30 minute drive of this accessible hilltop villa in Tuscany.
Access to the accessible apartment is possible using a ramp, and the accessible apartment connects to an adjacent apartment so it’s great for families!

I gave this villa a 4 Star Sage Accessibility Rating because it has a flat entrance to the building, wide doors, a roll-in shower, and a grab bars on both sides of the toilet. It did not get a higher rating because the pathway to the accessible apartment is made of gravel and the ramp into the building is a little steep.
A tree-lined drive-way leads up the hill to the villa with 360 degree views of the country-side.
There are multiple seating areas on the property to enjoy the scenic views while tasting wine that you purchased while visiting accessible Tuscany wineries.
The Accessible Tuscany Hilltop Villa with Roll-in Shower has a gravel pathway and cypress trees surrounding it.
The pathway leading down to pool has some uneven terrain but there are no steps. There is pavement surrounding the pool and great views of the surrounding hills!
The entrance to the accessible apartment is located on the backside of the accessible Tuscany hilltop villa. A portable ramp can be placed at the entrance so that wheelchair users and mobility scooter users can get up the single step.
The door opens up to a bedroom that has enough space on both sides of the beds to fit a wheelchair.
The bathroom door in this accessible Tuscany villa is wide enough for a wheelchair user to fit through. There are grab bars on both sides of the toilet and it has a raised toilet seat.
The roll-in shower has flat access and a hand-held shower nozzle. Staff can bring in a portable chair should you require one.
The sink in the bathroom is high enough that a wheelchair user’s knees can fit underneath it.
The accessible apartment connects to another apartment which has a kitchen. We were not able to inspect the interior of this apartment when we visited, but here is the patio and the flat entrance into it.
The breakfast area is accessed through this door that has a small lip.
The seating area has plenty of room for a wheelchair user to navigate. The bathroom door is wide enough for a wheelchair or mobility scooter.
The bathroom has an elevated sink and a grab bar next to the toilet.
