Classic Zurich Wheelchair Accessible Tour
This 3 hour Classic Zurich Wheelchair Accessible Tour combines an overview walking/strolling tour of the heart of Zurich with a delicious accessible chocolate tasting experience at one of the most prestigious Chocolatiers in Zurich!
This accessible guided tour starts with your private, professional guide meeting you at your centrally located accessible Zurich hotel or another central meetup location. Using accessible, step-free routes your guide will lead you through the old historic center of Zurich, while sharing some of the amazing history and anecdotes that belong to Zurich.
As you stroll through the Old Town, you will enjoy a stop by the stunning St. Peter’s Church, a Romanesque-gothic-baroque church built on remains of former churches from before the 9th century. You’ll have an opportunity to take photos from outside and admire the exterior of this fascinating historic church.
Your accessible Zurich tour continues along the popular Bahnhofstrasse, the most famous shopping street in Zurich! This part of the city was built in 1864 after the Parisian boulevard standards. On your stroll, you’ll enjoy beautiful views ofLake Zurich and the Zurich Opera house that has been the home of the Zurich Opera since 1891. The opera houses the Bernhard-Theater Zurich and the Zurich Ballet.
Last on this 3 hour Zurich accessible walking/strolling tour, your private guide will bring you to one of the most prestigious Chocolatiers in the city, for a delicious chocolate tasting and opportunities to buy some to bring back home. The tasting lasts for about 20 minutes and includes three truffles per person as well as chocolate samples (the cost for this is included in your tour price).
At the end of your guided tour, your guide will escort you back to the starting point of the tour.

Accessibility Description:
I gave the Classic Zurich Wheelchair Accessible Tour a 3 Star Sage Accessibility Rating because it includes step-free routes and is primarily flat. It also includes accessible bathrooms along the route. It did not get a higher rating because the tour participants will need to walk/roll along the route rather than drive, and there are several parts with mild to moderate cobblestones. Due to the nature of the city’s layout, you will encounter mild slopes as well.
Some streets along the route have mild slopes to them.
Cobblestones lead uphill to St. Peters church (see photo on the left below). Bahnhofstrasse street is flat (see photo on the right).
Accessible public toilets will be available along the route.
The Chocolatier shop is wheelchair accessible with a flat main entrance. Please note that there is a small slope on the surrounding street and some mild cobblestones as well.
