Accessibility Details
This Florence roll-in shower accessible hotel received a 4 Star Sage Accessibility Rating because it has a step-free entrance and hotel rooms with roll-in showers. It did not receive a higher rating because I was not able to inspect the sturdiness of the portable chair for the shower.
This accessible bedroom has a double bed and room on both sides for a wheelchair to fit. There is an end table attached to the headboard on each side of the bed. A desk and chair is located in the left corner of the room with a small television overhead.
This accessible bathroom toilet has grab bars on both sides. The roll-in shower has a grab bar attached around the wall.
There entrance into the building is flat. Inside the door, 3 steps on the left lead to the lobby. If you need step free access, there is an elevator behind a red velvet rope on the right. You can either press the button for assistance, or just remove the rope and use the elevator to go up. A staff member will need to use a key to activate the elevator when you leave.
This Florence roll-in shower accessible hotel lobby is narrow, but a wheelchair user can maneuver around the smooth floors without difficulty. Off to the side of the lobby, there is a sitting area to relax and hallways that lead to the rooms, both with space for wheelchair users to move around.
This hotel is located in a wheelchair friendly neighborhood surrounded by several cafés with outdoor seating.
Two other nearby restaurants with accessible outdoor seating are shown below.
