Highlights of Dubrovnik Accessible Cruise Excursion
This 6-hour accessible cruise excursion of Dubrovnik takes Guests on an incredible experience that includes admiring the ancient city walls, visiting the Old Port and seeing the glorious Rector’s Palace – all using completely step-free routes. You’ll discover firsthand why Dubrovnik is called the “Pearl of the Adriatic” when you soak in the beautiful views and rich history of this ancient city on the sea.
Rarely can a historic city with such immense visual appeal as Dubrovnik offer visitors sights worth exploring outside of its historic center. However, this UNESCO World Heritage jewel is just a part of the most dramatic coastline boasting numerous wonderful spots and places to discover. Experience all of the highlights of the Dubrovnik Riviera in a one-day trip!
This wheelchair accessible tour will start in the Old Town with a classic walking/rolling tour, where your friendly tour guide will escort you around to experience the best sights of the city. Stroll along the ancient city walls, an impressive series of defensive stone walls, experience the Stradun/Placa thoroughfare and admire the majestic Rector’s Palace from outside. This incredible Palace used to serve as the seat of the Rector of the Republic of Ragusa between the 14th century and 1808. Have your camera ready for some beautiful photos!
Next, we will head south of majestic Dubrovnik to the charming town of Cavtat and the rolling Konavle valley. These are the very southernmost parts of Croatia before it meets the rugged coastline of Montenegro. Enjoy this panoramic drive along the beautiful interior of the area known as the Konavle valley. Framed by the southern mountains of Herzegovina and Montenegro, its small population lives in some 32 picturesque villages scattered across this south-easterly tip of Croatia. After Konavle valley, we’ll continue towards Cavtat. Cavtat’s past, present and future are very closely tied to Dubrovnik’s and this historically rich area is a delight — its old town is a warren of narrow streets and cobbled alleys and the serpentine waterfront promenade frames a picturesque harbor.
After free time for lunch on your own in one of the local taverns, the return transfer to Dubrovnik port will follow.
