Pyramids of Egypt Accessible Shore Excursion
TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE
See the pyramids with an Egyptologist!
This accessible shore excursion of Egypt’s most iconic sites visits the great Pyramids, the River Nile, and more and includes wheelchair accessible transfers!
Your guide and driver will pick you up from the cruise terminal in Port Said in an air-conditioned, wheelchair accessible vehicle to begin your full-day cruise excursion. On the way to Cairo, your Egyptologist guide will tell you the history of Egypt and the Pharaohs!
Once in Cairo, you will visit the Great Pyramids of Giza (one of the Seven Wonders of the World!): the Pyramid of Cheops, the middle Pyramids of Chephren and the smaller Pyramid of Mykerinos as well as the mysterious Sphinx!
Afterwards, you will break for lunch in an accessible restaurant (price not included) before continuing your accessible Egypt shore excursion.
You will then visit the Egyptian Museum which includes the treasures found in King Tutankhamen’s tomb! Then you will stop by the River Nile for some wonderful panoramic photo opportunities before an optional shopping trip to some authentic Egyptian bazaars where you can purchase traditional items such as papyrus, perfume oils, items decorated with hieroglyphics, and much more. Your experienced guides will be able to tell you how to avoid purchasing fake items such as painted banana leaves being passed off as papyrus.
At the end of your accessible shore excursion of Egypt, your guide and driver will return you to the cruise terminal in Port Said 2 hours before your ship’s departure.
*A visit inside the pyramid burial chambers is not included in this tour and is not recommended for those with health problems, limited mobility, or claustrophobia.
