The neighborhood is great for wheelchair users and other disabled visitors. The street is flat, and there are wide sidewalks with no cobblestones. Several restaurants with accessible outdoor seating are located just across the street from these Rome disabled accessible apartments.
These Rome accessible apartments can easily sleep 5 people. For larger groups, the adjacent Rome wheelchair accessible apartments can sleep 7 people. Both apartments have air-conditioning and washing machines.
Rental of these accessible Rome apartments comes with our 100+ page Rome Accessibility Guide that tells you all the tricks you need to know to easily visit Rome with a disability. Wheelchair accessible Rome tours and accessible transportation to/from the airport or train station can also be arranged.
I gave these Rome disabled apartments a 4 Star Sage Accessibility Rating because they have a step-free entrance, doorways wide enough for a wheelchair, and a roll-in shower. They did not get a higher rating because they don’t have grab bars near the toilet and don’t have automated doors.

A second bedroom can also sleep two people. The bathroom in this Rome disabled apartment has doors wide enough for wheelchair users and a roll-in shower (although wheelchair users will probably want to stay in the other Rome disabled apartment with the bigger bathroom). A shower chair can be added to the shower, and a wheelchair user’s knees can fit underneath the sink.
The kitchen has everything that you’ll need for an accessible vacation in Rome. An oven, stove, refrigerator, and dishwasher (along with a grocery store a block away) will make cooking Italian meals a breeze! Floor to ceiling windows face the courtyard.
The entrance to the apartment building has a small lip and is shown in the picture on the left. Wheelchair users and mobility scooter users should have no problems with it.

The neighborhood across the Via Labicana street has numerous accessible restaurants and is one of the most Roman (non-tourist) neighborhoods in central Rome.
