The Wheelchair Accessible Britannica Guided Tour has a 3 Star Sage Accessibility Rating because it follows a step-free route. It did not receive a higher rating because you will encounter mild to moderate cobblestones along the way and your guide is unable to push a wheelchair. The total route is less than 2 miles long.
The terrain surrounding the Ter Beurse (see photo below on the left) and Old St. John’s hospital (see photo below on the right) is mostly flat and accessible. You will experience some mild cobblestones in certain areas but these should not be hard to navigate.
Bruges Market Square and Belfry is mostly flat with mild cobblestones.There is also an accessible restroom available during your visit here.
The charming Old Harbor of Bruges, Jan Van Eykpleinis mostly flat and smooth and has curb cuts available. Please note you will encounter some cobblestones in certain areas.
