This 3 star Wheelchair Accessible Hotel in Venice is located in the same neighborhood as the train station and can be reached without traveling over any of the Venice bridges. Electric wheelchair users and mobility scooter users in particular may appreciate the location. It’s cheaper than other accessible hotels in Venice, so if budget is your primary concern this is where you should stay.
This wheelchair accessible hotel near the Venice train station is in a neighborhood that has a few accessible restaurants and shops. It is at the opposite end of the Grand Canal from the popular St. Mark’s Square.
This hotel has a 3 star hotel classification. We gave it a 4 Star Sage Accessibility Rating because it has an accessible building entrance and a roll-in shower. It did not receive a higher rating because you have to notify the hotel staff to activate the wheelchair lift.
The wheelchair accessible room has space for a wheelchair on both sides of the bed if you move the tables.
The bathroom has a roll-in shower with a handheld nozzle and a chair attached the wall. The chair has armrests. A sink is located to the left of the shower and has room for a wheelchair user’s knees to fit underneath. The toilet is located to the right of the shower and has a grab bar located on the left of it. The bathroom is smaller than some of the other accessible hotels that we visited.
The entrance to the hotel has 5 steps and a wheelchair lift. You will need to notify the hotel staff to activate the wheelchair lift for you.
